After missing out on a chance for a reunion with the actor, The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke teases plans for a Jeffrey Dean Morgan cameo in season 4.
Before bringing Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson's graphic novels to life, Kripke rose to stardom as the creator of The CW's Supernatural, in which Morgan starred as Winchester family patriarch John
John would ultimately make a deal with the demon Azazel to save Dean's life after the season 1 finale car crash.
Kripke would step down from Supernatural following season 5 and go on to create the post-apocalyptic sci-fi series Revolution and time-traveling series Timeless,
both of which ran for two seasons at NBC before being cancelled by the network, though the latter would get a two-part series finale.
Kripke would then go on to work with producing duo Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg to adapt The Boys for Prime Video,
which centers on a group of vigilantes working to expose the superheroes known as The Seven as the corrupt beings they really are.
With Ackles teasing that Soldier Boy could carry over into The Boys season 4, Kripke might not be the only Supernatural vet to get a proper reunion in the superhero series.
