the High School Musical franchise spinoff has continued to grow beyond its namesake. After focusing on a fairly meta recreation of the first High School Musical movie in HSMTMTS season 1

the show’s second installment delved deeper into the students of East High, charting their successes and failures as they stage their version of Beauty and the Beast

HSMTMTS season 3 will continue to take the Disney+ hit in new directions, moving away from the central East High location to follow along with the characters as they attend Camp Shallow Lake.

At the family-owned resort, which is based in California, the ensemble will prepare to put on a summer production of Frozen.

Keeping in line with the story change, HSMTMTS relocated its filming from Salt Lake City to Los Angeles and has added a number of other narrative shifts

Disney+ has announced that the High School Musical series has been renewed for season 4. The news comes ahead of season 3, which is set to have a summer debut on July 27.
