HBO has announced that the Emmy Award-winning dark comedy series Barry has been renewed for season 4.

In addition to Hader, the season 3 cast also includes Henry Winkler, Sarah Goldberg, Anthony Carrigan, and D’Arcy Carden.

On Thursday, it was revealed that Barry has been renewed for season 4 at HBO, with Hader set to direct all eight episodes.

Production on season 4 will begin in June in Los Angeles. Co-creator/executive producer Alec Berg will also return.

Fans of Barry were forced to wait patiently for season 3, which was originally picked up back in April 2019.

Due to the pandemic, production was delayed significantly, pushing the season 3 release date to April of 2022.

In the recently-aired episodes, viewers have so far seen a much darker side of Barry, who's desperate to leave his violent past behind in favor of fully immersing himself in the world of acting.

in addition to coming face-to-face with some ghosts from his past, he soon discovers that getting out is messy. The Barry season 3 finale airs on HBO and HBO Max on June 12.
